The Age of Sensationalism
I remember a colleague once, who loved to criticise the rival newspaper (especially whenever a senior rival journalist' article was featured that day), used to say - "Look at their news today. It's so sensationalised!"
My question is, which news isn't sensationalised? Almost all world-class newspapers are sensationalised! News is about sensationalism. Without this element, who will read the newspaper? Usually, it is news with negative elements that make the front page. You will usually find the 'good news' only in the middle (if lucky) or the back section.
The newspaper is how people assimilate all the negativity into their mind today. Be selective of your reading because what you read today, is what your world will be tomorrow. Have a brilliant Saturday. Read a beautiful book that will enrich your life in any way today.
Love and light,
GeneviƩve.
