Old is Gold
Just because one drives an old car does not make him/her poor. Similarly, just because one drives a flashy new car does not make him/her rich as well. It may simply mean that the first is wiser in money management than the second as he/she realises that it makes no sense putting money into something, which value is just going to depreciate over time.
If you feel you must have the comfort of a new and branded car, and you can afford it, go for it. However, if you cannot afford it but squeeze your pockets just so that you can show to others that you're well-to-do, that's foolishness! Better invest your money in something that will gain you higher returns as the years pass by, so that you can do some good with it for yourself, your family and society.
My father always told me since I was small: "A car is just to bring you from point A to point B."
Why then would you want to spend so much of your blood and sweat over something that will just evaporate your money into thin air? If you buy a vehicle that will appreciate in value over the years, now that's what I call a worthy investment.
Love and light,
Genevieve
