Who Ever Said You Were Born A Christian, Buddhist, Hindu Or Muslim?

If those who claim and act as if they are spiritual, yet see differences and defend their own beliefs in the name of religion, then is one being spiritual or religious?

To those who study the holy scriptures, quoting here and there from various materials, yet still blinded with issues pertaining to my religion or your religion.. Of what use is your bookish knowledge when you cannot even see through this veil of delusion - Maya and put what you have learnt into practice? Do not merely read scriptures, live it.

At the end of the day, all religions profess LOVE. They all convey the same messages, but in different ways. Vedic scriptures state: Sarva Brahmamayam Jagat (the whole universe is permeated by Brahman). There is neither mine nor thine.

Apart from one's official documents, who ever said you were born a Christian, Buddhist, Hindu or Muslim? We were all socialised to accepting such facts. An Indian Hindu baby born and given to a Christian family is most likely to adopt Christian practices, and vice versa. So why divide ourselves by seeing differences in the name of religion? If one truly understands the crux of most religions, it will be to appreciate the brotherhood of man.

Religion is only good when it is a uniting factor. It becomes bad when it divides.

To those who interpret scriptures, no two persons ever see the same thing or object the same way. No one can compel anyone to believe in anything. One must be very careful because one may think that their interpretation is conclusive, it is not always so. By demeaning others to defend one's own does not tell much about other people's values, character and worthiness but one's own.

Have a good weekend.

Love and light,
GeneviƩve.
